About the ADEO Basic

ADEO Basic is a caseless motorised screen – the roller with the motor is fixed with side brackets – for anyone who needs a large image on a sensible budget. A tubular motor unrolls the fabric at the touch of a wall switch, and after the presentation the wall is clear again. The model covers image widths from 2 to 6.5 m and six aspect ratios – from square 1:1 to cinema 2.40:1. You choose a borderless version, a 5 or 7 cm black border or Tensio tensioning, plus one of ten projection surfaces: white, grey ALR, acoustic, rear projection or ChromaKey green. This means a single model can serve a classroom, a training room, an office and a living room.

Construction and drive

Basic is driven by a 230 V tubular motor concealed inside the roller. As standard the screen is operated by a wall switch, the motor is on the right and the fabric rolls out at the back. The bottom edge is stabilised by a white aluminium bottom bar.

• IO-homecontrol motor with radio receiver and remote control – optional up to 4.5 m wide,
• motor on the left-hand side, if that is where the cabling runs,
• front roll or Reverse Roll, which changes the distance between the fabric and the wall,
• bottom bar in matt black or a RAL colour.

Finish: borderless, black border or Tensio

The borderless version is the simplest option for rooms where the screen is used mainly for presentations. A 5 or 7 cm black border frames the image: the matt black absorbs light and makes the picture edges look sharper.

Tensio versions – with a 5 cm or 7 cm border, or borderless – have side tensioners. The manufacturer uses the CTS system here: counterweights at the ends of the bottom bar pull the cables and keep the fabric under constant tension. Tensioners are worth choosing for ALR fabrics, ultra-short-throw projectors and home cinema, where any ripple in the fabric shows up in bright scenes.

Fabrics and aspect ratios

Aspect ratios: 1:1, 4:3, 16:10, 16:9, 2.35:1 and 2.40:1. Choose the surface to suit the room lighting and the type of projector:

• Vision White (gain 1.2) – an all-round white for classrooms and offices,
• Vision White Pro (temporarily unavailable) and Reference White 2 (gain 0.9) – white with a black back, or a reference white with no hot-spot,
• Reference Grey 2 (0.5), Ambient Grey (0.6) and Ambient Grey 2 (0.9, ALR, standard and short-throw projectors only) – for brighter interiors,
• Vision Acoustik and Vision Macro Acoustik (0.75) – perforated, with speakers behind the screen,
• Vision Rear DB – front and rear projection, and ChromaKey Green – a keying background.

Who this screen is for

Basic works wherever a large, legible image and a reasonable fit-out cost matter. Schools install it in classrooms and labs, companies in training rooms and offices. At home, the Tensio version with a grey fabric pairs well with a living-room projector. With ChromaKey fabric the screen becomes a green backdrop for video recordings, webinars and live streams.
