About the ADEO Plano
ADEO Plano is a fixed-frame screen. The fabric is stretched over a rigid aluminium frame finished in black velvet, so the surface stays flat at all times – without the ripples that can appear on roll-up screens. The velvet absorbs light falling outside the image and enhances contrast. Plano is a classic choice for a dedicated cinema room or living room, as well as for presentation rooms. It supports aspect ratios from 4:3 to 2.40:1 and white, grey, ALR and acoustic fabrics.
Frame and tensioning
Plano has a frame made from an aluminium profile bevelled on the inside. This shape directs light reflections outwards, away from the image and the viewers. The profile is covered in black velvet, which absorbs light at the edges of the image.
The fabric is tensioned by elastic cords that attach the rods in its hem to the frame. The wall bracket slides into the back of the frame and stays out of sight, while the frame sits flush against the wall. Adjustable floor stands (152–284 cm) are available on request – useful when the screen cannot be hung on a wall.
Fabrics and aspect ratios
Image width: from 1.8 to 3 m. Aspect ratios: 4:3, 16:10, 16:9, 2.35:1, 21:9, 2.39:1 and 2.40:1.
- Reference White 2 (gain 0.9) – for a room with controlled lighting, no hot-spot.
- Reference Grey 2 (gain 0.5) – deeper blacks in bright rooms, also for UST projectors.
- Ambient Grey 2 (gain 0.9) and Ambient Grey (gain 0.6) – ALR for a lit living room.
- Acoustic fabrics: Reference White 2 Acoustik, Reference Grey 2 Acoustik, Ambient Grey 2 Acoustik, Vision Acoustik.
- Vision White, Vision White Pro (temporarily unavailable), Vision Rear DB – for presentations and rear projection.
Why a fixed-frame screen for home cinema
A fixed-frame screen has no roll-up mechanism, so the fabric does not deform over time. Flatness is especially important with ALR fabrics and ultra-short-throw projectors, which accentuate every ripple in the material. The black frame creates a crisp image border and masks any overspill at the edges.
With an acoustic fabric you can place the centre and front speakers behind the screen, just like in a commercial cinema. Picture and sound then come from the same place.
Who this screen is for
Plano is for anyone setting up a dedicated cinema room or a living-room cinema who wants a permanent, flat image. It also works well in presentation rooms and showrooms where the screen has a fixed place on the wall. It is a good choice for a living room with a UST projector too, as the rigid frame eliminates fabric ripples. The width range of 1.8 to 3 m suits typical home cinema rooms. ADEO Plano – questions
Is Plano suitable for a UST projector?
Yes. The flat surface of a fixed-frame screen works well with UST projectors. Choose Reference Grey 2 or Ambient Grey fabric – Ambient Grey 2 is not intended for UST.
Which aspect ratio should I choose for a home cinema?
For TV content and most games, 16:9 is best. If you mainly watch feature films, consider Scope 2.35–2.40:1.
Can I hide the speakers behind the screen?
Yes. Plano is available with acoustic fabrics, including Reference White 2 Acoustik and Ambient Grey 2 Acoustik.
Does the screen have to hang on a wall?
No. Plano can stand on adjustable floor stands, available as an accessory.
