About the ADEO Alumid

ADEO Alumid is a motorised screen for rooms where the image must be legible from the back rows. An image width of 3.5 to 4.5 m lets you show presentations, charts and video to a large audience – in an auditorium, lecture hall, hotel or conference centre. The aluminium case, approx. 152 × 142 mm in cross-section, houses a large roller, and the quick-mount system makes installation easier. You can choose a borderless version, a 5 cm black border or Tensio tensioning, seven projection surfaces including acoustic ones, and aspect ratios from 1:1 to 2.40:1.

Construction and installation

Alumid has an aluminium case approx. 152 × 142 mm in cross-section, white as standard, optionally matt black or a RAL colour. It uses a quick-mount system: the case hangs on the brackets and is locked with a screw, which simplifies working at height.

In the version without tensioners the fabric rolls onto a 108 mm diameter aluminium roller, and the case is open at the bottom. As standard the motor is on the right and the fabric rolls out at the back. Options: motor on the left, front roll or Reverse Roll.

Finishes, fabrics and aspect ratios

Aspect ratios: 1:1, 4:3, 16:10, 16:9, 2.35:1 and 2.40:1. Finishes: borderless, 5 cm black border and Tensio with a 5 cm border or borderless. In the Tensio version, counterweights at the ends of the bar keep the fabric under constant tension.

  • Vision White (gain 1.2) and Vision White Pro (temporarily unavailable) (0.9) – for darkened and semi-darkened rooms,
  • Reference Grey 2 (0.5) and Ambient Grey (0.6) – with light-coloured walls and ambient light,
  • Vision Acoustik (0.5 mm perforation) and Vision Macro Acoustik (1.3 mm) – with speakers behind the screen,
  • Vision Rear DB – front and rear projection.

Control

The optional IO-homecontrol motor has a radio receiver and remote control. In large rooms the screen is usually connected to the control system: an ADEO interface with RS232 lets you lower it from the room panel, and a 12 V trigger does so automatically when the projector is switched on. The presenter does not need to look for a separate switch.

In simpler installations a wall switch is enough. Order the motor on the left when the power supply comes in on that side of the screen – this makes installation easier without altering the electrical wiring.

Who this screen is for

Alumid is a screen for venues with large audiences: school and university auditoriums, large lecture halls, performance halls, hotels and conference centres. The Tensio version is ideal where the image is viewed from various angles and fabric flatness matters. ABC Prezentacji advises on preparing the site and ships at no extra transport cost; fitting is done by your installer and the power connection by an electrician. Configure the size and fabric – you will see the price straight away.

ADEO Alumid – questions

What size of room suits a 3.5–4.5 m wide screen?

Rooms where the furthest viewer sits a long way back. By the manufacturer's rule of thumb, image height should be approx. 1/6 of the distance to the back row for presentations, and approx. 1/4 for charts and tables.

How do Vision Acoustik and Vision Macro Acoustik fabrics differ?

Both have a gain of 0.75 and let sound through. Vision Acoustik has 0.5 mm perforations, while Vision Macro Acoustik has 1.3 mm perforations and is intended for very large venues.

Can Alumid be connected to the room control system?

Yes. ADEO accessories include an RS232 interface and a 12 V trigger module that lowers the screen when the projector is switched on.

When should I choose the Tensio version?

When you want a flat fabric across the whole image width, e.g. for bright content and viewers sitting at the sides of the room.
